Platypuses have been sighted in increasing numbers in the Whyte and Pieman Rivers. Sightings of whit breasted sea eagles continue on the Arcadia cruise to Pieman Head. At Corinna, there are Bennett’s wallabies in abundance, and many fine specimens of the superb blue wren.

On the Whyte River walk, there has been the usual abundance of late autumn and winter fungi (see the photo gallery for some images). There are literally dozens of colours and species of unusual and spectacular fungi and mushrooms. For those interested, it is well worth booking in for the “fungi season” next year.
