About The Fungi Month

There's something special about seeing the Fungi emerge around Tasmania's West Coast - especially at Corinna.

Visiting  in May and June is like stepping into a living art gallery - the ancient temperate rainforest comes alive with a spectacular fungi display, where vibrant toadstools, delicate mushrooms, and glowing fungi create a natural art show under the towering myrtles and sassafras.

It’s the perfect season to slow down, wander the trails, and discover the magical, hidden beauty of Tasmania’s wild west.

Our eco-friendly retreat invites guests to explore the captivating world of fungi through two workshops - a guided walks tour led by expert mycologist Alison Pouliot and tips on how to capture the magic of fungi from leading Tasmanian photographer Luke O’Brien.

Visitors can immerse themselves in the region’s diverse and colourful fungus species, some found nowhere else on Earth. The package includes cosy cabin stays, all meals as well as insights into the ecological importance of fungi.
