Tarkine Giants Fungi Photography Competition: Terms and Conditions
1. The Promoter
This competition is run by Tarkine Wilderness Pty Ltd (ABN 13 114 868 807) trading as Corinna Wilderness Village, 1 Corinna Rd, Corinna TAS 7321.
2. Eligibility
Entry is open to residents of Australia aged 18 years and over.
Employees of Tarkine Wilderness Pty Ltd, Tarkine Athletics, the Bob Brown Foundation, and their immediate families are not eligible to enter.
3. Competition period
The competition opens at 12:00am AEST on 8 May 2026 and closes at 11:59pm AEST on 8 June 2026.
4. How to enter
To enter, entrants must:
a) Take an original photograph of fungi located within the takayna/Tarkine region or on Tasmania's west coast during the competition period
b) Post the photograph publicly on Instagram or Facebook using the hashtag #FungiMonth2026
c) Tag @CorinnaWildernessVillage on Instagram, or mention Corinna Wilderness Village in the post or comments on Facebook
Entries must be submitted from a public account or post visible to the Promoter. Private accounts and posts not visible to the public will not be considered.
5. Entry limits
Entrants may submit multiple photographs during the competition period. Each photograph must be a separate post.
6. Photograph requirements
All entries must:
a) Be taken by the entrant personally
b) Be taken during the competition period (8 May to 8 June 2026)
c) Be taken within the takayna/Tarkine region or Tasmania's west coast
d) Feature fungi as the primary subject
e) Be the entrant's original work and not infringe any third party rights
Entries that are digitally manipulated beyond standard colour correction, cropping, and exposure adjustment may be disqualified at the Promoter's discretion.

7. Judging
The winning photograph will be selected by the Corinna Wilderness Village team, with input from photographer Luke O'Brien. Judging will be based on creativity, composition, technical quality, and connection to the takayna/Tarkine landscape.
The judges' decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

8. The prize
The winner will receive one pair of Tarkine Giants trail shoes from Tarkine Athletics, in a size and gender style of their choosing, valued at $158 AUD.
The prize is not transferable, not exchangeable, and cannot be redeemed for cash.
The prize will be shipped directly from Tarkine Athletics to an Australian postal address nominated by the winner. International shipping is not included.

9. Notification of winner
The winner will be announced on Corinna Wilderness Village's Instagram and Facebook accounts by 22 June 2026 and will be contacted via direct message on the platform they entered on.
The winner must respond within 14 days to claim the prize. If the winner does not respond within this period, the Promoter reserves the right to select an alternative winner.

10. Use of entries
By entering, entrants grant Tarkine Wilderness Pty Ltd (trading as Corinna Wilderness Village) and Tarkine Athletics a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use, reproduce, and publish their entry photograph for promotional purposes across social media, websites, and marketing materials, with credit given to the photographer where reasonably possible.
Entrants retain copyright and all other ownership rights in their photographs.
11. Privacy
Personal information collected from entrants will be used only for the purpose of administering this competition and will be handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth). Information will not be shared with third parties except as required to deliver the prize.
12. General
The Promoter reserves the right to disqualify any entry that does not comply with these terms and conditions, or that the Promoter considers offensive, inappropriate, or in breach of any law or third party rights.
The Promoter is not responsible for entries that are lost, late, incomplete, or unable to be verified.
This competition is in no way sponsored, endorsed, administered by, or associated with Instagram or Facebook.
By entering, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
