Corinna Wilderness Village has been featured in a three-page travel spread in the May 2-3 weekend edition of Tas Weekend Magazine.

Written by Philip Young with lead photography by Sue Murray, the article appeared in print across Tasmania and online at the Mercury website.

Travel features in Tas Weekend usually run to two pages, so we are thrilled to have received three.

Young's piece, titled "Into the Stillness," recounts a two-night stay at Corinna in mid-February, taking in the Sweetwater Cruise, a walk to Lovers Falls, the Pieman River Cruise to Pieman Heads, dinner at the Tannin Restaurant, and a dawn paddle on the Pieman.

A few of our favourite lines from the article:

"The phone signal drops out about 30 minutes before you arrive, as if this rare place is telling you 'right, it's time to tune out of the digital world and switch on to where you are.'"

"Like many things in this part of the world, nothing, even love, seems to be in a rush."

"It would be easy to make excuses for the quality of food at such a remote location, but the Tannin obviously employs a chef who cares about their menu."

"Go to Corinna. Unplug. De-stress. Recharge. Stay for a couple of nights. Bask in the silence and take in the healing power of nature."

A big thank you to Philip Young and Sue Murray for the time and care they brought to the piece, and to the Tas Weekend team for giving it the space it deserved.

The full feature is available in the print edition of Tas Weekend Magazine (May 2-3, 2026) and online at the Mercury website.

If you would like to experience Corinna for yourself, eco-cabins are available year-round and bookings can be made directly via book-directonline.com or by emailing reservations@corinna.com.au.
